After years of 'pure joy', Elton John's farewell tour ends
Elton John's marathon farewell tour came to an end in Stockholm on Saturday night with one of his biggest hits, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.
He promised his millions of fans that they would always be in his "head, heart, and soul."
The 76-year-old singer has performed nearly 4,600 times all over the world during a remarkable career spanning 50 years and five Grammy awards.
It's been my lifeblood to play for you guys, and you've been absolutely magnificent,
he told the crowd at Sweden's Tele2 Arena.Some of the members of Elton John's current band and crew ,
have been on his tours with him for many years, and Elton John paid them a moving tribute.
He gushed, "They're really amazing, and they are the best, I tell you, the best."
Bennie and the Jets served as the opening act for his show, and he then performed a number of other hits,
